  15. SYMPTOMS
  16. ========

  18. The Archive 2150/2250 QIC SCSI tape drive (Viper 150, Viper 250) does
  19. not correctly respond with the number of bytes transferred. This is a
  20. condition known as an "under run."
  21.  
  22. CAUSE
  23. =====
  24.  
  25. A firmware error causes the Archive 2150/2250 to do this.
  26.  
  27. WORKAROUND
  28. ==========
  29.  
  30. Use one of the SCSI miniports that have been tested out and correctly
  31. handle under runs: AHA154X.SYS, AHA174X.SYS, SPARROW.SYS,
  32. FD16_700.SYS, FD8XX,SYS, and SPOCK.SYS. Except for the Ultrastor 24,
  33. these are all the "core" adapters.
